This wasn't me, it was LuLu
And you can go into the academy as soon as you have two proffesions, you don't have to be lvl 3 anymore.

well, i very quickly found out nobody wanted to party me as a lvl 13.
they kept saying i was too low and wouldnt help their team.
only reason i needed a party for this mission was the disease from that dirty water, it would kill my henchmen because their not smart enough to get the hell out of it. so, it came down to me gettin some of my fellow guild members to help out. i really dont like asking for help with missions that are very easy. but my point is, i guess, dont it make sense that a lower lvl would have equal skills as another character that has gotten to the same area?

i mean, im seeing it this way.

if it takes joe 50 hours to get to point B and it takes jim 20 hours to get to point B, why would you not want jim on your team?

i just dont understand their thinking

later on that same day (yesterday) while i was at thirsty river in the desert, at a lvl 15 now, ran into the same problem.

ppl saying lvl 20's only for our group.

LEVEL DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING BUT SLIGHTLY MORE HEALTH.
there, that is for all the pubby nubs out there.

have a good day guys.

My view of it is that Joe simply took longer because he is getting more out of the game, that if he is at the place that he has the same abilities at the game that you have, AND he has more HP and skill points alotted. In my mind Joe would be like Jim except more powerful and tougher. I pick Joe. Jim should go level up for the whole couple hours it will take him.

Now thats what a good team can do.
Shame the asended would have such a pitifull array of skills, and bugger all cash, etc to get the good armour and such few skill points to purchase skills with. Thats unless they accepted lots of donations.

GW may allow you do get that far at low level, but you still have to play the game to get the skills and the equipment so that you can survive without your high level groups backup.

You just have to transfer money from your main using the bank.

Then you can go back and do every mission as a level 20 just for the skill points.

A level 3 managing to ascend is crazy! I read how she beat the mirror self, and I would sure hate to meet her in PvP.

The biggest thing I take away from this thread are how many people miss the value of games like this. The great art, graphics and gameplay....completely missed as they "rush to get to the end first" or "find a way to zip thru to upper levels".....then come here and yip about it.
The best thing about this game is the unique experience each user has when stepping out of a city/outpost into the world.....it's theirs and theirs alone!! No MPORG self-labelled l33t players pulling stupid pranks or griefing players who want to take it all in slowly.
Hell someone posted a screen print in another thread of when they got their first scale armour (this isn't raggin on em) and his gold amount was absolutely Bill Gates'esque...like 35 Plat + gold. It gave the appearance (since I don't know for sure) of someone who collected allot of things thru a long journey from AC to Lions Arch rather than skipping all of the game...Kudo's to that person.

It's not. In fact, it's quite easy. You may need to reread my post if for some reason you didn't get that. My point was that it's not impressive or even hard.

Now, taking on groups of 5-6 level 20 monsters is impressive, but you need to get to the Crystal Desert before you can do that.

Unless you are completely masochistic, then you could give Lornar's Pass a try.

Hmmmmmm.........

I see lets not go with the most experinced players.
lol so you think that a lvl 20 doing the thirsty river misison for the 20th time and still hasnt passed it is expirienced?

its a very easy mission as long as you have the patients to watch the time clock and manage your kills before you head in for the priests.

elonas reach at lvl 20? na, just take your time gettin the first crystal in the camps and then have your team "protect" the runner for the last crystal. this charater has a "rushing" skill he can spam. taking out the sages is easy, keep your monks to the back of the fight.

and dunes, henchmen can complete this one, nothing more to be said.

a level 20 character is not experienced just because he/she is lvl 20.

this character i was talking about was my 2nd pve char. ive done all the missions with my first pve char. still have a few side quests to do tho, and a few small towns to see. but other than that, i have the virtual maps of all the ring of fire missions in my head, as well as all the missions from the desert on up.

its funny watching a lvl 13 war/monk lead a team of 6 thru riverside and they are all lvl 16+ and still asking questions on where to go.

And you think having a Lvl 15 who has probably never done it is better than having a Lvl 20 who has done it 20 times!? If you get a bad run of pick-up groups you can easily have to do those missions 20 times and it has nothing to do with your skill. If your group sucks, you won't make it. Amazing logic you have...

Nor is a level 15 character experience just because he is in the desert.

And this is common knowledge to everyone playing the game right? *rolls eyes*

What's funny is you thinking people should make the assumption that a low level in a high level area is uber (when in reality he probably just had his high level friend get him there without doing anything), while somone who is the correct level is an idiot. Again, your logic is astounding...

You might need to take your own advice. 90% of your post is saying how you got to Sanctum Cay at lvl 11, Desert at 14, etc. Since you know it's not impressive or hard, why are you posting it as such?

In any case, as i said, i was talking PvP, not PvP...reread my earlier post if for some reason you didn't get that.

What about the people who do all the side quests and missions? They'll be lvl 20 before the ascension quests. Why is it silly to be lvl 20 when you get to the ascension quests?
